Addiction Recovery & Harm Reduction Services

Overview

Substance use and addiction are complex, deeply human struggles that often intersect with trauma, homelessness, mental health challenges, and poverty. Addiction is not a moral failing — it’s a public health issue that requires dignity, empathy, and access to proper care. Many individuals facing substance dependency are caught in cycles of crisis, often unable to find stable housing or access long-term recovery services.

Our Addiction Recovery & Harm Reduction Services provide a safe, non-judgmental path toward healing. Inspired by the Homes First model, we integrate supportive housing with wraparound services that meet people where they are. Our goal is to reduce harm. Promote recovery at each individual’s pace, and empower people to reclaim their lives with dignity.

Awareness & Education

Stigma and misinformation continue to be major barriers to recovery. Our awareness efforts seek to foster understanding and shift the narrative by focusing on:

  • The relationship between trauma, homelessness, and substance use
  • The importance of harm reduction as a bridge to recovery and safety
  • Dispelling myths about addiction and advocating for person-centered care
  • Educating communities on overdose prevention, safe use, and naloxone access
  • Supporting families and caregivers in understanding substance use and recovery pathways

Through educational events, public campaigns, and staff training, we help build a more informed, compassionate response to addiction.

Support, Recovery, and Rehabilitation

Our recovery model is rooted in trust, housing stability, and ongoing care, offering multiple entry points for healing. We provide:

  • Harm reduction supplies and overdose prevention tools to reduce immediate risk
  • Supportive housing environments where sobriety is not a prerequisite for safety
  • One-on-one addiction counseling, recovery planning, and relapse prevention strategies
  • Peer support groups led by individuals with lived experience
  • Referrals to detox, inpatient rehab, or mental health services as needed
  • Life skills coaching to rebuild confidence, routine, and long-term planning

We recognize that recovery looks different for everyone. Whether someone seeks full sobriety, stabilization, or reduced use, our focus is on progress, not perfection. By embedding addiction care into our broader housing and wellness services, we ensure people have the foundation to recover—physically, emotionally, and socially—at their own pace and on their own terms.
